834,104. Multiple fastenings. RASMUSSEN, V. B. K., [trading as RASMUSSEN & CO., V. K.]. Nov. 1, 1957 [Nov. 1, 1956], No. 34233/57. Class 44 Relates to a corner connection of locking bars for windows in which two locking bars 3, 4 reciprocated one along each of two adjacent sides of the frame 1 of the window sash and the bars are interconnected, at the corner at which the two adjacent sides are joined together, by means of a steel strip 5 or similar flat flexible strip guided by a stationary sheath 7, 8 so as to be able to transfer reciprocating movements from one locking bar to the other, the sheath being concealed behind a corner plate 13 secured to the sash. According to the invention, the sheath is secured to the sash independently of the corner plate. As shown, the ends of the two-part sheath 7, 8 are secured together by tubular rivets 9 and 10 and the sheath is secured to the frame 1 by screws 12. The corner plate is secured to the frame by screws 14 which pass through slots 15 in the bars 3, 4 and through the rivets 10. Slots 11 are provided in the sheath for pins 6 which interconnect the bars 3, 4 and the strip 5. The corner plate is apertured at 16 to permit movement of the bar 3 to its locking position by an operating mechanism (not shown), at which position the bar 4 engages a striking plate (not shown).
