Abstract
833,613. Cold and heat retaining vessels. BRITISH OXYGEN RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Ltd. Nov. 24, 1958 [Jan. 13, 1958], No 1170/58. Class 64(2) [Also in Group XXVIII] A cold or hot liquid container 1 is suspended by chains 3 within an outer shell 2 and in the intervening space is an upper layer 8 of mineral wool, slag wool, expanded aluminium - magnesium silicate, silica aerogel, diatomaceous earth or vermiculite, a preformed intermediate layer 7 of resilient material, e.g. expanded polyvinyl chloride and a lower layer 6 of spherular material, e.g. slag, glass, p.v.c., polytetrafluoroethylene or nylon, the intermediate resilient layer 7 serving to absorb thermal movement of the container 1.
