832,850. Photographic cameras. KAMERA - WERKE NIEDERSEDLITZ VEB. Oct. 8, 1957 [Oct. 18, 1956; July 19, 1957], No. 31430/57. Class 98(1) Shutter speed and diaphragm aperture adjusting rings are connected to one another by helical guiding means so that. when they rotate relatively to one another, a member is displaced axially and moves an indicating pointer. The pointer may indicate a light value on a suitable scale or be moved into coincidence with the pointer of an exposure meter mounted on the camera. As shown, shutter speed 6 and diaphragm aperture 7 rings are connected by screw 9 riding in helical slot 8 in ring 7 and ring 7 is axially movable to displace rod 10 and follow-up pointer 11 of exposure meter 12. Screw 16 riding in slot 17 drives diaphragm blade ring 18. Alternatively (Fig. 4, not shown), slot 8 is provided in ring 6 and screw 9 in ring 7. The length of rod 10 may be adjusted (Fig. 5, not shown). In another form, the rod is made up of two parts 28, 29 connected together by a screw-thread. The parts 28, 29 are provided with pinions 33, 34 meshing with gears 23, 35 so that on changing the shutter speed by means of ring 22 or the film speed by means of ring 36, the length of the rod is altered. The end of part 28 rides on cam track 27, Fig. 7, and the rod is thus bodily displaced on adjusting the diaphragm aperture of interchangeable lens 25 by means of ring 26. The end of part 29 moves follow-up pointer 39.
