832,550. Capacitors. COMPAGNIE GENERALE D'ELECTRO-CERAMIQUE. April 3, 1957 [April 4, 1956], No. 10931/57. Class 37. A capacitor comprises a ceramic tube dielectric having at its ends cylindrical zones metallized on their outer surfaces only, a central zone of larger external diameter and two annular metallized surfaces of reentrant profile each contiguous with one of the metallized end zones and forming an electrode. As shown, a ceramic tube has a peripheral collar 5 and metallized layers 3, 4 extending over the end surfaces of the collar at 6, 7 to form electrodes. It is stated that this construction ensures good cooling and allows connecting members to be mounted on the metallized layers 3, 4.
