Abstract

832,358. Switch cases. SQUARE D CO. Sept. 14, 1956 [Sept. 14, 1955], No. 28233/56. Class 38 (5). To enable a push-button assembly 12, Fig. 1, to be located with considerable tolerance in a contactor housing 21, with the part 18 thereof carrying the push-buttons 17 projecting through an aperture 22 in the cover 24, the assembly 12 has apertures 11 which are received on the limbs 16 of a bracket 13 secured to the contactor and bears on the raised part 15 of a spring bracket 14 removably supported on the bracket 13. When the cover 24 is to be applied, Fig. 3, its top edge is seated on the top edge of the housing 21 and the cover then pressed backwards, so that the upper edge 23 of the aperture 22 cams against the upper sloping edge 19 of the part 18 and moves the assembly 12 downwards to stress the spring bracket 14.
