Abstract

An adhesive dressing comprising an absorbent pad on a backing of extensible synthetic resin sheet has that part of the backing adjacent to the pad perforated with a number of holes or openings large enough to permit the passage of liquid, so as to assist in the rapid drying of the pad if this should become wet. Preferably there are at least 17 holes per square inch of the pad and the holes have a diameter of at least 0.02 inch. The backing sheet preferably comprises a vinyl polymer coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. Specification 754,848 is referred to.
