Abstract
831,484. Protective cut-out arrangements. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. June 18, 1957 [June 18, 1956], No. 18824/56. Class 38 (5). [Also in Group XXXVI] In a circulating current type protective arrangement having bias and operating windings, the windings 7, 11 are arranged to influence magneto-resistive elements R1, R2 (see Group XXXVI), arranged in adjacent arms of a bridge circuit R1 . . . R4 so that under internal fault conditions the bridge circuit is unbalanced in a predetermined sense to cause operation of a polarized relay 1. The Complete Specification describes an arrangement for protecting a three-phase alternator. The Provisional Specification also refers to an impedance relay arrangement in which one of the elements is influenced by the load current and the other is influenced by the voltage.
