Abstract

830,990. Inflatable suits. BRITISH OXYGEN CO. Ltd. Aug. 6, 1958 [Aug. 16, 1957], No. 25976/57. Class 141 In a double-wall pressure suit comprising separable sleeve and glove parts 10, 12 respectively carrying joint elements 14, 15, the joint element 15 is secured to the leather outer wall 19 of the glove by an intermediate fabric part 21 of lattice construction. The sleeve and glove parts have inflatable bladders 11, 13 for sealing the suit at the wrists, the bladders being connected by a flexible conduit 20 passing through the joint; a similar conduit 16, Fig. 1, connects the main glove and sleeve parts. The gas supply to the glove may be cut off by means of screw-down valve 22 flattening the conduit 16.
