Abstract

877,254. Thermal insulating lagging. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd., ABBOTSON, W., JAMESON, D. T., and ROBSON, J. P. July 4, 1960 [July 8, 1959], No. 23444/59. Class 99(2). Thermal insulating lagging, composed of foamed material for a pipe G comprises, two, or more, cylindrically curved sections A, B of foamed material, the sections being provided with a male element C on one longitudinal edge, and a corresponding female element F on the other longitudinal edge, whereby the sections interlock to form a complete cylinder. The foamed material is preferably rigid polyurethane containing a high proportion of closed air cells. The sections may be wrapped with an impervious sheet material.
