830,685. Automatic weight control systems. CLIFF VALE ENGINEERING WORKS Ltd. March 15, 1957 [March 27, 1956], No. 9482/56. Class 38 (4). The mass rate of feed of material from a hopper 1 by a rotary feed drum 2 is kept constant by the use in the drive to the drum of a variable-speed gear 5 adjusted by a reversible electric motor 6 which is energized over contacts 12, 13 to keep the weight of material on a constant-speed weighing conveyer 7 over which the material passes constant, the conveyer being pivoted at 9 and counter-balanced by a spring 11.
