A raiser or over-riding rail used in connection with a mono-rail truck comprises an assembly superposed and supported on the head b of a mono-rail track by a saddle d<SP>1</SP> forming part of the raiser, the saddle d<SP>1</SP> being located within and secured to stabilizing side plates d<SP>2</SP> of the superposed assembly to determine the inclination of the raiser relative to the mono-rail track. In the arrangement shown a track c, carried by a mobile bridge a mounted on wheels a<SP>1</SP> running on parallel mono-rails b, is interconnected to a mono-rail b by a raiser or over-riding rail d. The inverted V-shaped saddle d<SP>1</SP> is arranged, as shown in. Fig. 3, at an angle to the running rail portion d of the raiser to give the required inclination and is welded at its longitudinal edges to channel or angle section stabilizing side plates d<SP>2</SP> which may be extended downwards by ribs d<SP>3</SP> the lengths of which are determined by the angle of inclination of the raiser.
