Abstract
826,527. Moulding valve-operating members. PRECISION VALVE CORPORATION. Aug. 15, 1957 [Oct. 10, 1956], No. 25749/57..Class 87(2). [Also in Group XXIX] An operating button for the tubular valve stem of a container of pressurized material (see Group XXIX) is moulded, e.g. of polyethylene, in one-piece by a female die 1, a male die comprising two interfitting parts 4 and 7 with flanges 6 and 8, and a retractable core 17 with a projection 18. The moulding material is fed through a gate 16. In a modification the flanges of the interfitting parts are of different shape from that shown, and in a further arrangement the male die is in one piece. The cavity in the button provided by the male die receives the valve stem, and the die flanges provide a feed passage to a swirl chamber ; the spray outlet from the latter is provided by the projection on the retractable core.
