Abstract

825,726. Furniture drawers. KNOLL ASSOCIATES Inc. Sept. 16, 1957, No. 29088/57. Class 52(1) A furniture drawer guide for attachment to the side wall of a drawer opening 12 comprises a channel member 10 with upper and lower flanges 16, 18 the upper flange terminating in a downwardly extending stop 38 and the lower flange terminating in a guide means 36 inwardly of stop 38. Inwardly directed projections 26 from the web 24 of member 10 provide guide bearing surfaces for the flanges 42 of the drawer 40. The forward ends of members 10 have supports 28 with reinforcing bends 30 and slots 56 provide access for fixing screws 58 and allow adjustment. To remove the drawer 40 from opening 12 and channels 10 the drawer is opened until limit means 50 abuts member 38 and the drawer is then tilted to an angle greater than that of member 38 so that the rear part 48 of flange 42 moves between stop 38 and guide member 36.
