Abstract

702,906. Drawers. SIMPLEX ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Aug. 13, 1951 [Aug. 15, 1950], No. 24198/50. Class 52(1) In a drawer especially for cooking stoves and kitchen cabinets which are provided with a drop-down door, disposed above the drawer, the guides on which the drawer slides are each provided with an inclined portion whereby the drawer is lowered when opened. As shown the channel guide 11 mounted on the drawer 10 at each side and co-operating with a roller 12 mounted on the side of the cabinet is provided with an inclined portion 16, a similar inclined and parallel portion 21 being provided on the channel guide 18 which in this case is mounted on the cabinet 19 and co-operates with a roller 22 mounted on a rear extension 24 of the drawer 10. In order to prevent the tendency of the drawer to open the channel guides 11, 18 are provided at one end of each with portions inclined in the opposite direction to the inclination of the portions 16, 21.
