Class 136(2) In a cycle pedal comprising a metal spindle d having a head e with an externally screw-threaded end f for screwing into the end of a pedal crank and an adjustable bearing j, the neck of the head of the spindle and the adjustable bearing j each providing an externally radiused part or "cone" g, i respectively, there is provided around the "cones" g, i and between them and the respective ends of the pedal centre tube c, a pair of bearing sleeves m made of synthetic plastic having a low co-efficient of friction, such as nylon, the sleeves m each having at one end an internally radiused part for bearing respectively on the "cones" g, i. Each sleeve m has an external surface at the neck end for entering an aperture in an end plate b and a collar n, one end of which abuts the adjacent end plate b as well as the centre tube c.
