Abstract
An anastomosis appliance comprises a tube made of woven synthetic textile the warp or weft of which consists of continuous synthetic threads in which the component filaments are formed with undulations and/or changes in direction such that their true length is greater than that of the yarn produced. The tube is seamless, the weft threads forming a spiral. The threads are made of polyacrylonitrile, acrylonitrile, polyamides, polyesters, polyolefines, or their derivatives. The tube may have a Y-shape for use in the iliac artery, the diameter of the base being twice that of each arm. During sterilization the tube shrinks.
