Abstract
824,886. Luminescent materials. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO. Ltd. July 18, 1958. [July 19, 1957], No. 22968/57. Class 39(1). A luminescent material excitable by larger medium ultra-violet radiation consists of calcium or strontium antimoniate activated by bismuth, preferably the pyro-antimoniate, and is made by firing a mixture of calcium or strontium carbonate, antimony trioxide and bismuth trioxide at temperatures of between 1000‹ and 1100‹ in an oxidising atmosphere. Preferred molecular proportions of the mix are given.
