Abstract

Concrete is cast in a mould of which the moulding surface is formed by one side of a sheet of fibrous material impregnated with a bituminuos binder and coated on both sides with a moisture-repellant layer, e.g. linseed oil. The moulding surface may be covered by a substance which facilitates the release of the moulded article, e.g. synthetic resin, hardened lacquer or wax. The fibrous material may be rag, cellulose, cork waste or sawdust.
