[Also in Group X] A lighting fitting comprises a housing 3 for mounting in the ground and having a socket to receive the root of a standard 14 and a body part 6 disposed in the housing and being removable therefrom through an opening closed by a top cover 10. The body part carries the control apparatus for the standard fed by electric cables passing through an opening 4 in the housing. The top cover 10 of the housing is sealed by a gasket 12 and screws 11, there being a further detachable cover 13. The standard is sealed in position by a clamping ring 18 and gasket 17.
