Abstract

819,048. Cycle mudguards and luggage carriers. BIRMINGHAM MUDGUARD CO. Ltd. Jan. 27, 1958 [Feb. 5, 1957], No. 3865/57. Class 136(1) [Also in Group XXV] An attachment clip for securing a stay to a cycle mudguard, luggage carrier or like member ,comprises a base portion 13 adapted to be secured to the cycle mudguard or like member by rivets 14, arms 15, 16 projecting from and forming a seating with the base portion of the clip and a leaf spring 21 associated with the base portion and adapted to urge a member located in the seating into gripping engagement with each arm 15, 16. As shown in Fig. 3, each arm 15, 16 is formed integrally with the base portion, the two arms being directed in opposite directions. The lower edge of each arm is shaped so as to provide a narrow entry portion and a part circular wider seat portion.
