Abstract

The invention comprises calcium halide complex salts of esters of tertiary amino ethynyl alcohols of the general formul <FORM:0818720/IV (b)/1> <FORM:0818720/IV (b)/2> where R1 and R2 each represent a straight o branched chain alkyl radical containing not more than 6 carbon atoms, R3 represents an alkyl radical containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R4 represents an alkylene radical containing not more than 4 carbon atoms and R5 and R6 represent ethylene radicals, with a phenyl or alkyl substituted carbamic acid, and the manufacture thereof by reacting an organic solvent solution of a carbamic acid ester of a tertiary amino alkynol of the general formula I or II, with an equimolar amount of a calcium halide. Preferably the organic solvent is ether and the calcium halide is calcium bromide. Examples describe the preparation of the calcium bromide complex salts of 1-methyl- and 1-ethyl-4-ethynyl-piperidyl-phenyl carbamates and of 1-ethyl-4-ethynyl-piperidyl-ethyl and 1-ethyl-4-ethynyl-piperidyl carbamates.
