817,860. Spray producers. AJEM LABORATORIES Inc. Oct. 13, 1955 [Oct. 18,1954], No. 21393/57. Divided out of 817,851, [Group XXX]. Class 69 (3). In the apparatus for washing crank-shafts, described in Specification 817,851, an adjustable spray nozzle for spraying washing fluid on to the crank-shafts consists of a tube 46 provided with a large aperture 150 and a C-shaped clamp which is mounted on the tube so that one arm 152 of the clamp covers the aperture 150. A small aperture 154 in the arm 152 registers with the aperture 150, and a set-screw 156 is provided on the other arm 155 of the clamp for securing the clamp to the tube in a desired position of adjustment of the aperture 154 relative to the aperture 150. A bullet-shaped director 158 is supported by arms 160 from the arm 152 and lies in the path of the liquid stream issuing from the aperture 154, so that a fme spray is produced.
