A cleaning apparatus particularly for glass articles comprises a support 5 for the articles to be cleaned mounted between spray tubes 6, 7 for discharging cleaning liquid, and either the support 5 or the tubes 6, 7 are adapted to be reciprocated to and fro for spraying the whole of the contents of the support 5, and a resilient element 23, Fig. 2, is provided in the supply pipe 16 to the tubes 6, 7 to impart pulsations to the liquid spray. The element 23 is constituted by a flat resilient plate having a slot 24 at one end and supported in an axial plane of the pipe 16 by lugs 22 clamped in a pipe coupling.
