Abstract

A protective sheet has an aperture through which medicating means may be introduced into body cavities and comprises a soft, elastic sheet consisting of at least two layers, one layer being moisture-proof and in use facing towards the body and one layer being absorbent. A cellulose or cotton wool sheet is made moistureproof on one side by spraying or coating with a synthetic material, e.g. polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polystyrene. Alternatively, a layer of moisture-proof material is applied to several layers of cellulose fleece. The sheet is used as a removable wrapper for tampons or suppositories and has a hole through which the tampon or suppository is inserted in the body, the sheet serving to protect the hands.
