Abstract

815,696. Magnetic information-storage apparatus. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. July 26, 1957 [July 28, 1956], No. 23745/57. Class 40 (9). In a magnetic storage matrix arranged for parallel operation, the writing pulse generator 4 and the reading amplifier 5, Fig. 2, are connected to a column lead 3 by way of windings 7 and 8 of a transformer 6 respectively so that an induced counter voltage in winding 8 prevents the induced transient voltage due to the action of the writing pulse on the cores 1 from constituting an input to the reading amplifier. In a modification, Fig. 3, the single column lead 3 is replaced by separate writing and reading leads 10, 11, the transformer winding 8 being shunted by a resistor 9 to control the characteristics of the induced counter voltage.
