863,814. Circuits employing bi-stable magnetic elements. KIENZLE APPARATE G.m.b.H. June 14, 1957 [June 18, 1956; April 16, 1957 (2)], No. 18830/57. Class 40 (9). [Also in Group XIX] A series of magnetic cores 11<SP>1</SP>-15<SP>1</SP> has two distinct shift circuits associated with it, so that shift pulses applied at 601 move the storage pattern to the right and at 602 move it to the left. Entry windings on the cores for writing a " 1 " in core 11<SP>1</SP> (for a counter circuit) or entering data on to a number of cores (for a shift register circuit) are not shown. Each set of shift windings 211, 221... and 212, 222 ... is series connected and the resetting current in one of them produces a relatively large potential drop across any " set " core winding such as 211 to charge the corresponding capacitor 311 through rectifier 411, subsequent discharge through resistance 511 and the next winding 221 setting the next core after the shift pulse has ended.
