Abstract

814,479. Wheel hubs. BULLENS, J. H., and BULLENS, C. W. H., [trading as METAALINDUSTRIE CAJA.]. Aug. 20, 1956, No. 25419/56. Classes 12 (1) and 144 (1). A hub for a perambulator or like wheel comprises a hub barrel 1 with a nylon or like bearing sleeve 2 mounted in each end 6 thereof, the sleeve having a return bent end 4 which embraces the end 6 of the hub barrel to form a collar on to which is pressed a radial spoke flange 8. The portion 14 of the sleeve 2 fits within the hub barrel with a slight clearance, and the flange 8 has a dished central portion 10 to locate on and against the sleeve end 4. A hub cap 16 fits over the axially bent outer periphery of the flange 8.
