Abstract

Thermoplastic sheet materials comprise, in stated proportions: (a) polyvinyl chloride (mol. wt. 30,000 to 100,000), polymerized ester of palm-nut oil acids with ethylene glycol or propylene glycol, dioctyl phthalate, cadmium-barium laurate stabilizer and triphenyl phosphate; (b) vinyl chloride-acetate copolymer, the same polymerized ester as in (a), tricresyl phosphate, lead silicate and lead stearate; and (c) polyvinyl chloride and modified rosin. An adhesive composition comprises, in stated proportions: vinyl chloride-acetate copolymer, alkyd type ester of balsamic rosin, dioctylphthalate, toluol, methyl ethyl ketone and methyl isobutyl ketone; and, if desired, a modified rosin compound. The sheet materials and adhesive are used in the preparation of laminates (see Group VIII).
