Abstract
Borax, sodium sulphate, microcosmic salt, or disodium hydrogen phosphate, has incorporated therewith by a simple mechanical mixing an agent imparting water-repellancy to said powder, e.g. the metal salt of a high molecular-weight fatty acid such as magnesium stearate. Other agents may be incorporated to provide free-flowing qualities to the powders, e.g. water-insoluble or slightly soluble phosphates such as tricalcium phosphate and to prevent the caking of the powders alkali reearth metal carbonates may also be included. The powder should be ground to a 100-mesh B.S.S. Specification 758,463 is referred to.
