Abstract
810,915. Ball-and-ring mills; edge-runner mills. LOESCHE, E. G. July 22, 1957 [July 24, 1956], No.23083/57. Class 59 A grinding mill comprises a rotatable grinding pan 2 at the periphery of which is arranged a ring 1 having profiled vanes which with the pan and a ring 8 form through-flow air channels, the vanes each widening from top to bottom, Fig. 3, so that the air channels each have a crosssection which increases upwardly to the air outlet. The baffle ring 4 and beaded reinforcement 5 are curved in such a way that the air channels each show a gradual increase of cross-section in the radial direction. Either balls or rollers co-operate with the grinding pan.
