Abstract

810,782. Time delay switching circuits. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Aug. 14, 1956 [Aug. 16, 1955], No. 24849/56. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XXXVI] In a time delay circuit of the type wherein the operation of a circuit such as a relay R, Fig. 1, is controlled by a thermistor H1 placed in series, to avoid reduction in delay time with increase in ambient temperature, the circuit is connected across a second thermistor H2 forming a potential divider with linear resistor W2, and arranged so that the voltage across H2 falls as the ambient temperature increases. Fig. 2 shows a circuit wherein a relay R is released after.a given time, the current being reduced by the decreasing resistance of thermistor H1 which now shunts the relay in series with a linear resistor W1.
