Abstract
809,678. Paperweights. MORSE, S. H. Oct. 16, 1956 [Oct. 24, 1955], No. 30296/55. Class 146(2) A paperweight comprises a core 1 enclosed in an unstitched jacket. The jacket may be formed of weldable and/or mouldable material e.g. thermoplastic or thermasetting plastic. Two components 3 may have rib-and-groove engagement with the core, as in Fig. 3, or with each other, or may be welded together as at 7, Fig. 6, alternatively one component may be of dished form and a flat lid-like component secured thereto by an interlocking arrangement or by welding. In the construction shown in Fig. 9 two flanged components are joined by a third component 9 which engages the flanges 10. In a further con-. struction the jacket is formed from six plates, one per face of the core, welded together at their meeting edges. Specincation 21490/13 [Class 146(ii)] is referred to.
