808,711. Forging presses. MICAFIL A.G. Dec. 20, 1956, No. 38857/56. Class 83 (4). A press for pressing an electric coil 6 in two directions at right angles comprises a pair of hydraulic cylinders 3, 7, disposed at right angles, one of which 7 is carried by a parallel linkage 9 whereby it can be moved out of its pressing position, Fig. 2 (not shown), to facilitate insertion and removal of the coil. The hydraulic pistons 4, 12 act on the coil through bars 5, 13. Cylinder 7 which is carried by a beam 8, is withdrawn by a spring 14 against a screw stop 15 adjustable by a chain wheel 17. Several presses whose stops are adjustable by a common drive, may be used simultaneously on a single coil.
