A capsule cover of deformable plastic for containers has an annular border 1, skirt 2, annular shoulder 3, grooves or lines of weakness 4, 5, inner circular rib 8 and central head-piece 10, a tongue 7 being moulded with the assembly so that the band 6 between grooves 4, 5 can be torn off the outer part remaining thus forming a seating for the inner part of which rib 8 cooperates with shoulder 3. A slot 7b, left when tongue 7 is torn off, permits the passage of the shank of a spoon, spatula, &c.
