Abstract

806,171. Automatic temperature control systems. RHEOSTATIC CO. Ltd. Jan.15, 1957 [Jan. 30, 1956], No. 2918/56. Class 38 (4). Means are provided for automatically controlling the temperature of air supplied to a space through a duct comprising temperature variable detecting elements and thermally operated switches located in both space and duct, control by the duct element only occurring when the space is above and the duct is below a predetermined temperature. The detecting elements in the space and duct are respectively temperature variable resistances 2 and 7, each being connected in a bridge circuit, unbalance of which creates a control signal for operating the heat supply regulating valve. Due to the connections of thermally operated switches 13, 14 the bridge controlled by the duct element only operates the regulating means when the space is above a predetermined temperature (switch 13 to H) and the duct is below a predetermined temperature (switch 14 to C1). Feedback to rebalance the bridges is applied to variable resistances 6, 12 by the regulating means.
