Abstract

805,521. Radiators and air convectors for heating or cooling buildings. RUNTE, E. March 28, 1955 [March 29,11954; May 12, 1954; Aug. 12, 1954], No. 9047/55. Classes 64(2) and 64(3) In a radiator 51 for the flow of hot or cold fluid, flat tubes 55, Fig. 6, which interconnect headers 56, are arranged with their edges abutting and the radiator is mounted spaced from a wall or ceiling. A convector 54, also comprising flat abutting tubes 42 and headers 45, Figs. 7, 8, for the flow of hot or cold fluid and bearing corrugated plates 43, may be mounted between the radiator 51 and wall. There is a transverse partition in that radiator header 56 which bears inlet and outlet connections 49. There may be corrugated plates on the wall side of the radiator 51 particularly at its lower portion. In Fig. 4, in place of the convector 54, there is mounted a heatinsulating plate 52 (which may be applied to the rear face of the radiator 51) attached to the wall by a bracket 53. Alternatively, a second radiator 51, Fig. 3 (not shown). may replace the plate 52. The arrangement of Fig. 4 may be located on a ceiling, Fig. 5 (not shown), near its edge.
