Classes 20(4) and 137 Sheeting units 1, 4 for covering the roofs and walls of lightly constructed buildings each have a channel-like section 2 formed along one edge and a complementary section 3 along the opposite edge so that. when a number of the sheets are attached to the building framework 5 in interlocking series, with the sections 2 partially surrounding and spaced from, the complementary sections 3, a number of air vents are formed which prevent entry of rain &c. Alternate sheets 4 are fixed to the framework by bolts 6, the sheets 4 between them being slidably mounted by means of bolts 7 which engage in slots 8 formed in brackets 9 secured to the framework 5 so that the air vents can be closed, or varied in size. In a modification, Fig. 2, alternate units 10 are slidably mounted on bearing blocks 13, stiffening ribs 18, placed at intervals along the sheets, interconnecting the sections 2, 3. In a further modification, Fig. 3, all of the sheets are rigidly connected to the 'framework 5, each channel section 11 being provided with a hollow part cylindrical rotary valve 20 each connected to a common control linkage, not shown. An axially slotted section 23 adjacent the upper edge of each valve ensures flow through the vents when the valves are rotated fully anti-clockwise, Fig. 3. All of the sheets in the arrangement shown in Figs. 1 and 2, may be rigidly secured to the framework 5, and filter sections may be fixed between them.
