Abstract
803,034. Smallarms. KONSTRUKTA PRAHA. Sept. 4, 1956, No. 27035/56. Class 119 A backsight 6, Figs. 1, 5, is mounted in the rear end 9 of a resilient slide 7 guided at its forward end 8 in axially disposed grooves in the weapon frame 1 from which it may be withdrawn longitudinally and a stop member 11 guided vertically in the frame 1 holds the firing pin 4 in position and is secured against vertical movement for release of the firing pin by the slide 7 which itself is secured against longitudinal movement by the stop 11. By raising vertically the end 9 of the resilient slide, it is disengaged from the stop 11 and can be pulled from the frame 1, at the same time permitting the removal of the firing pin 4. The stop 11 is of fork construction and engages both sides of the firing pin, the upper end of the stop being located between the depending end portion 9 of the slide and the head 12 of a vertical adjustment screw 10 of the sight, which head engages in a recess in the stop 11. The stop 11 is disengaged from the slide when the head 12 is raised vertically out of the recess in the stop. The head 12 is provided with circumferential notches in which engages a sprung pin 14 to provide accurate adjustment of the screw 10. The sight 6, Fig. 5, is a notched T-shaped plate slidably mounted in a transverse recess in the portion 9 and projects by its stem into a bore 15 beneath the recess. The stem is clamped between a spring pin 16 and a lateral/adjustment screw 17 which also has notches engaged by a resilient securing means 18.
