Abstract

A cosmetic stick comprises a normally liquid alcohol, such as iso-propyl or preferably ethyl alcohol or propylene glycol or mixtures of ethyl solidified with an agent, such as alcohol and propylene glycol, candelilla or carnauba waxes or preferably sodium stearate, and having dispersed therein a water-soluble salt of saturated fatty acids having essentially 12-14 carbon atoms, such as tri-isopropanolamine myristate or laurate, mono-isopropanolamine myristate, triethanolamine myristate, potassium and sodium myristate. A preferred form contains a deodorant such as hexachlorophene.
