Abstract

801,304. Automatic weight control systems. SCHENCK MASCHINENFABRIK G.m.b.H., C. Dec. 31, 1956, No.39660/56. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XXX] Material in hopper 30, aerated by air from pipe 29 passing through wall 27, is discharged by bucket wheel 4 into vessel 5, the height of the material in the latter being kept between maximum and minimum levers by controls 6, 7 which control the magnetic clutch 10 of the motor 9 driving said wheel 4. The material in vessel 5 is discharged therefrom by endless belt 3, the material passing beneath chains 13 to de-aerate the material, and the excess air escaping from vessel 5 through pipe 14. The rate of discharge by belt 3 is kept constant by means of weighing roller 21, the latter setting slider 24 of potentiometer 25 which controls belt motor 31. The potentiometer also records the weight.
