801,228. Closure caps. BATTERSBY, D. J. Jan. 9. 1957 [Jan. 17, 1956], No. 1519/56. Class 125(3). A closure cap for vehicle fuel tanks &c. has a body 1 with peripheral flange and a central downwardly extending spigot 2 to which is secured by rivets 3 a disc 4 having diametrically opposed notches 5 and the portions 6 of the disc betweer the notches being helically in clined and having radial serra tions 13 so that the disc passes between pegs 11 projecting inwardly from the container neck 10 and then on rotation of the cap engages under said pegs to draw down the cap and compress a synthetic rubber washer 12 on to the neck 10 The cap is retained against loss by a cable 9.
