800,961. Garden hoes. WILKINSON SWORD, Ltd and RANDOLPH, H. B. Dec. 21, 1954 [Dec. 21, 1953], No. 35528/53. Class 6(2). [Also in Group XXIII]. In a garden hoe having an elongated blade 14 which is normally used in a horizontal position with the rear edge 14a perpendicular to the direction of to and fro movement one end of the blade is riveted to a curved tang 15 which is bent so that the blade is positioned centrally with respect to the longitudinal axis of the handle, the blade increasing in width progressively from adjacent the riveted end towards the other end 14c which is inclined inwardly towards the centre of the blade when considered from the front edge 14b. The blade is bevelled on the front and rear edges 14b, 14a-and on the end 14c. The under-surface of the blade is concavely curved. Specification 756,928 is referred to.
