[Also in Group XVII] A device for facilitating the spreading of adhesives or other viscous liquids from a container 4 consists of a tubular portion 5 that at one end 1 can either engage on or in the container and at the other end 7 is formed or provided with a thin flat spreader portion 6 and an aperture 8. The aperture is formed by a cut at an angle to the tubular portion through the wall thereof and is normally closed by the flap piece 9 formed by the cutting.
