Class 20(4) In a Z-section staircase riser, preferably of sheet steel or other metal, a flange a2 of a right-angled member is adjustably connected to a flange b1 of a member acute angled at # which is bent at c at an angle # equal to the sum of the said acute angle # and a right angle. The part b3 of flange b1 is Vertical and adjustment in height of the ,riser is effected by relative movement between the parts a2 and b3 and, as shown by chain-dotted lines, is attained without affecting the width of the tread.
