Abstract

799,216. Sifting apparatus. BUHLER, GEB. Nov. 9, 1956 [Nov. 10, 1955], No. 34381/56. Class 117 A plansifter 1 suspended from rods 2 is gyrated by an out-of-balance weight 8 journalled in bearings 10, 13 on the plansifter structure and rotated by an eccentric part 12 of a drive shaft 4. The eccentricity of the part 12 is equal to the radius of the plansifter orbit, and the said part passes with a clearance through a journal 9, and the drive is imparted to the weight by a leaf spring 18 interconnecting the weight and a lever 14 secured to the part 12. A pin 16 on the weight engages a cup 15 on the lever. A motor 6 drives the shaft 4, the upper end of which runs in a spherical bearing 5.
