Abstract

798,997. Rectifying. FORTIPHONE, Ltd. May 23, 1955 [Aug. 19, 1954], No. 24222/54. Class 38 (2). [Also in Groups XXXIX and XL (c)] In a hearing aid circuit a transistor 32 acts both as an oscillator and an amplifier. The oscillations set up by the transistor are rectified to produce H.T. for other components in the circuit. Windings 39, 41 of a transformer 40 are arranged to couple the base electrode band the collector c of the transistor 32, thus causing it to oscillate. The stepped-up oscillations which appear in the winding 42 of the transformer 40 is then rectified in a known voltage doubling circuit comprising capacitors and rectifiers 43 ... 46 and applied to other components, such as valves 29, 30, in the hearing aid circuit.
