Abstract

798,728. Weighing apparatus. TEEPACK SPEZIALMASCHINEN GES. Jan. 3, 1956 [Aug. 27, 1955], No. 154/56. Addition to 785,494. Class 143 The weighing apparatus described in the parent Specification is modified by the provision of movable weight carriers which are adapted to rest on stationary supports and are lifted from the supports in the course of movement of the beam to load the latter according to values of one or more weights supported by the carriers, such carriers being disposed symmetrically on each side of the beam and the inherent weights of said carriers being balanced by counterweights. In Figs. 3, 5, a pair of pans 104<SP>1</SP>, 104<SP>11</SP> are alternately fed by shoots 125, and discharged by the opening of doors 107, through an automatic control mechanism similar to that described in the parent Specification. Each pan is supported by a. frame 105 which bears through knife edges on weigh beams 101, 101<SP>1</SP>, 108, and which, through the interengagement of conical pins 132 and seats 131, raise weight carriers 129 from stationary rests 127 near the end of each weighing cycle. The weight carriers are supported on arms 135<SP>1</SP> of beams 135 which carry on the arms 135<SP>11</SP> carrier counterbalancing weights 136. Weights 130 correspond with the weight of material to be weighed in pans 104<SP>1</SP>, 104<SP>11</SP>. In the modification shown in Figs. 6, 7, each weight carrier 229 is raised from its rest 227 by one arm 242' of one of a pair of levers 242 when the other arm 242<SP>11</SP> of this lever is engaged by an abutment 244 on the pan supporting frame 205 on the opposite side of fulcrum 243. Stops 245 limit upward movement of arms 242<SP>1</SP>.
