Abstract
In an improvement in a modification of the process of producing improved adhesion and scratch resistance in a finishing system on open-grained decorative hard wood as claimed in the parent Specification, the aqueous polyvinyl acetate filler composition employed comprises from 5 to less than 20 per cent or more than 50 up to 60 per cent of finely divided particles of polyvinyl acetate by weight based on the total composition. Examples disclose aqueous filler compositions comprising (i) polyvinyl acetate dispersion, dibutyl phthalate, methyl cellulose, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate and toluene; and (ii) polyvinyl acetate dispersion and methyl phthalyl ethyl glycollate.ALSO:In an improvement in a modification of the process of producing improved adhesion and scratch resistance in a finishing system on open grained decorative hard wood as claimed in the parent Specification, the aqueous polyvinyl acetate filler composition employed comprises from 5 to less than 20 per cent or more than 50 up to 60 per cent of finely divided particles of polyvinyl acetate, by weight based on the total composition.
