Abstract

844,509. Coated regenerated cellulose film. DAINIHON CELLOPHANE KABUSHIKI KAISHA. May 9, 1958, No. 14964/58. Class 140. Moisture-proof regenerated cellulose film is produced by coating a regenerated cellulose film with a solution of a copolymer produced by polymerizing vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and maleic anhydride in a non-aqueous organic solvent in which the components and resulting copolymer are soluble, and thereafter drying the coated film. The solvent in which the copolymer is produced may be butyl or ethyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone or a mixture of ethyl acetate and benzene. The copolymer solution may also contain one or more natural resins or paraffin wax.
