Abstract

787,482. Coated papers. NEWBY, H. (Chemische Werke Huls Akt.-Ges.). May 30, 1956 [July 19, 1955], No. 20831/55. Class 140. Pergamyn or parchment papers are coated with a synthetic resin dispersion containing at least 5 per cent by weight of shellac with reference to the synthetic resin. Suitable resins are vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, acrylic acid or methacrylic acid esters, acrylonitrile, styrene, vinyl esters or ethers, isobutylene, butadiene and their copolymers. Sodium alginate and borax may also be present.
